Summary of Event:

On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, the Career Development Centre (CDC) organized a special awareness session titled "Rising Strong: Embracing Failure and Rejection to Build Resilience" on 10th October 2024.

This session was designed to emphasize the critical role of mental well-being and resilience, particularly in the face of challenges and setbacks.

The guest speaker, Ms. Aparna Sharma, delivered an insightful talk, sharing personal experiences and providing practical tips on how to face rejection and adversity with a strong, positive attitude. She emphasized the importance of seeing setbacks as opportunities to rise stronger and move forward with renewed confidence. The students were deeply engaged, taking away valuable lessons on how to approach life's challenges.

After the speaker’s address, a Q&A session was conducted, where students had the opportunity to ask questions and delve deeper into the themes discussed.

As part of the day's activities, a Mental Health Pledge Wall was set up in the atrium. Students were invited to make a personal commitment to their mental well-being by writing down their pledges, such as "I pledge to take care of my mental health by __________," and sticking them on the wall. This served as a powerful reminder that mental health is an ongoing journey and that self-care is essential for leading a balanced and fulfilling life.

The event concluded on a positive note, with participants expressing their gratitude for the insightful session and the interactive activities that followed. The Mental Health Pledge Wall stood as a testament to the students' commitment to prioritizing their mental health moving forward.
