On 07th March’2025, Department of Computer Science at IMS University Courses Campus, Ghaziabad Organized a Workshop on Data Visualization with Tableau. This hands-on session was designed to enhance the skills in transforming raw data into insightful visual representations that drive decision-making. The session was led by experienced facilitator - Mr. Dhruv Govil working in PINAKI IT CONSULTANT PVT LTD as CEO & FOUNDER Sr. DATA SCIENTIST Sr. CONSULTANT (AI) a skilled data analyst with extensive experience in Tableau.
The session began with a comprehensive introduction to Tableau's interface and basic functionalities. Participant learned how to connect to various data sources, from spread sheets to databases, and import data into Tableau for analysis. The instructor demonstrated key features, including creating interactive dashboards, building dynamic charts, and using filters and parameters to refine data insights.
Participants were guided through practical exercises, where they applied techniques to visualize data trends, identify patterns, and present information effectively. The hands-on approach allowed exploring Tableau's diverse capabilities, from simple bar charts to complex geospatial maps.
By the end of the session, Contestants gained a solid foundation in Tableau's features and best practices for data visualization in their respective domains. This workshop experience not only deepened on technical knowledge but also emphasized the importance of clear, compelling data presentation in strategic decision-making too.
