Summary
The Monopoly Knock-Out event was a thrilling business simulation game designed to test students' strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and financial acumen. Teams competed to maximize their asset values through rounds of gameplay and auctions, with the ultimate goal of being crowned the champion. Rounds of the games as follows:
Initial Setup:
Teams: 8 teams of two members each were divided across 2 game boards, with 4 teams per board.
Bankers: Each board had two dedicated bankers responsible for overseeing financial transactions and maintaining financial records.
Gameplay Rounds:
Each round simulated real-world business challenges where teams accumulated assets through strategic moves.
At the end of each round, the team with the lowest asset value on each board was disqualified.
Asset Auctions:
The disqualified team's assets were auctioned off to the remaining teams.
This added an extra layer of strategy, as teams had to balance spending on auctions with retaining enough funds to remain competitive.
Final Round:
The last remaining team on each board faced off in a high-stakes round to determine the winner.
The team with the highest asset value on each board at the end was declared the winner and runner-up
Banker Evaluation:
Bankers were judged based on the accuracy, clarity, and representation of financial data.
The banker with the best financial management and presentation skills was awarded a special recognition.
