Bionics Club, School of Biosciences organized a Bioinformatics Workshop on Modern Method of Drug Discovery: In-silico Drug Designing on April 20, 2017. The event started with an introductory lecture by Ms. Sarika Srivastava on The process of drug discovery and Computer Aided Drug Designing (CADD) which is a specialized discipline that uses computational methods to simulate drug receptor interactions. CADD methods are heavily dependent on bioinformatics tools, applications and database. Students of B.Sc. and M.Sc. participated in the workshop enthusiastically and studied various case studies related to cancer. They learnt the use of various databases, online tools and downloadable softwares which helped them in the better understanding of the process.
