Summary of the Event:
Mathemania Club at IMSUC aims to eliminate fear of Mathematics amongst the students and motivate them to learn mathematics with interest and involvement. An interesting activity ‘Math-O-Shot’ was organized by the club on 30th March 2022 which included fun games with a twist of mathematical questions.
The event comprised of three rounds.
ROUND -1 BEER PONG GAME
In this round one player of each team had to throw a ball inside the cup and the other player had to solve a question placed under the cup. It consisted of elimination round where only 12 teams were selected out of 25 for round 2.
ROUND -2 HIT THE TARGET
The selected 12 teams had to hit the targets, earn the points and solve the questions by picking random chits from the bowl. A time of two minutes was given to each team to complete the round.
ROUND -3 RAPID FIRE
Five teams were shortlisted for the third round which was a buzzer round. Balloons were given to the participants. If they know the answer, they had to blow and burst the balloon. Ten points were awarded for the correct answer whereas for incorrect answer five points were deducted.
All the students enjoyed the activity and realized that Mathematics too can be fun!!
