IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus celebrated the National Science Day to mark the discovery of the Raman Effect by Indian physicist and Nobel Laureate Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman on 28th February 1928. Dr. O.P. Lal an eminent scientist and educationist delivered lecture on Integrated Pest Management for Crop Improvement. Dr. Lal served as Head, IARI, Regional station, Katrain, Kullu Valley, Himachal Pradesh, Head, Department of Entomology, IARI, New Delhi. He worked on deputation from Indian Government as expert in plant protection with the Ministry of Agriculture, Libya and also a consultant with ICARDA, Syria, Ministry of Agriculture, Iraq. He served as visiting Professor in University of Bonn and University of Hannover, Germany. Dr. Lal also shared his views about different policies related to pest management in different countries. The students got the information and exchange their ideas about the significance of IPM and its of applications.
