IMS Ghaziabad (NAAC Accredited & Affiliated to CCSU) Department of Journalism and mass communication organised a guest lecture on TV anchoring by a senior journalist and senior anchor of ABP news channel, Sumaira Khan on 31st March 2016. She enlightened the newbie journalists about the key ingredients of becoming a successful TV anchor. Ms. Khan cleared the orthodox feeling of the students that good looks and glamour is not required to be a successful anchor but a presenting personality can do wonders on the field of anchoring.

Sumaira Khan threw light on the importance of all round knowledge and presence of mind. She shared her experience and struggle being a TV anchor. She cleared all curiosity and anxiety of the new generation of anchors. Students had their own queries about the anchor’s presence in front and behind the camera. She made the students know the truth of life behind the news studio.
