Workshop on Ethical Hacking and Cyber Security

IMS, Ghaziabad (University Courses Campus) gives strategic importance to the practical field and corporate exposure and towards the same interaction of its IT students with senior executives of the corporate world is organized in the form of guest lectures and Workshops.
Keeping its mission of delivering excellence through education and providing corporate exposure to its IT students, IMS Ghaziabad (University Courses Campus) gives organized Guest Lecture and invited eminent industry person, Mr. Surender Singh, Trainer APTRON Solutions Pvt. Ltd. as the Speaker of the afternoon. He shared his insight and knowledge on "Ethical Hacking and Cyber Security" with the eager young minds of the college where he delivered his interactive knowledge sharing session and delivered his key talk.

He shared his views on various topics related to Ethical Hacking which includes Vulnerability Assessment (VA), Penetration Testing (PT), Difference between an Ethical Hacker and Cracker, types of hackers, what a Malicious hacker do, bug bounding then he explained about Terminologies of hacking which includes threat, vulnerability, attack, exploit. He made us aware of the things like firewall, Trojans, website defacement, SHTML, Fake emails concept and most important Google hacking.

We got to know about Software's and malware like Psiphon pro, Procat, Trojan horse, Trojans backdoor, aircrack, TCPView, browsec he also gave the practical session in which he showed how hacking works. Mr. Surender also gave his views about Ethics Of Hacking that hacking is not a crime or illegal in fact Hacking means "doing illegal things legally" but if you will not follow the ethics then it is crime.

Students as an audience were overwhelmed by the crux of the interaction and came up with multi latitudes of questions, which were of course clarified by the honorable speaker in most interactive manner. BCA students made most out of it and this lecture would go down in the memory lane of each of us as one of the strategic talks.
