In order to sensitize the students towards the significance of communicating assertively; Career Development Centre organized the workshop on 'Assertive Communication' on 15 September 2018 for the students of BBA final year (Batch 2016-2019). Mr. Rajeev Jain, Agile Coach from Royal Bank of Scotland and Ms.Kamakshi expounded the techniques of communicating assertively and laid emphasis on the art of communication as the language of leadership. The objective of the workshop was to improve self-concept to encourage assertive behaviour and apply this communication style to achieve the desired goals.
The workshop began with ice breaking activities which made the students inquisitive and comfortable. Mr.Rajeev facilitated the process and helped the students to find out the solutions to their practical issues. He stressed on the notion of 'learning by doing'. The experiential learning and contextual application helped the students to know various types of communication styles and its implications. SWOT matrix for self analysis and introspection was also shared for effective projection. CDC Team extended a note of gratitude to Dr. Sapna Rakesh, Director, IMS Ghaziabad-University Courses Campus, for her valuable support and guidance. Dr. Geeti Sharma, Chairperson BBA and Dr. Indrani Bhattacharjee, Coordinator (Final Year, BBA) awarded the students with certificates while encouraging them on skill development .
Ms. Priyanka Sadhna, Chairperson CDC appreciated the students for their inclination towards the unending process of learning. Dr. Deepa Goel and Ms. Raunak Bhardwaj executed the programmed effectively and encouraged the students for their active participation. EWL students' team of Ankur, Shubham and Abhishek along with IT & administration team- Mr. C.S. Verma, Mr. Naresh Choudhary and Mr. Kunal administered the entire session with impeccable tenacity.
