SPARDHA 2018

A true sportsman spirit possesses the quality that "Winner never quit and quitter never wins the game"
As an integral part of academic system, sports are generally recognised as system of activities, which serves to ensure fair competition with great zeal and full of enthusiasm. Keeping up the same tradition, IMS Ghaziabad (University Courses Campus) organised its annual sports fest - SPARDHA 2018 on 26th & 27th February 2018.
The Institute promotes excellence in learning and holistic development of students, which is not possible without sports. This year SPARDHA 2018, witnessed the huge participation of students from all programs in various games like, Volley ball, Cricket, Basket ball, Tug of War and Athletics (100 M, 200 M, 400 M, 400 M Relay, Shotput and High Jump). The institute has lush green ground and state of art infrastructure for all kinds of indoor and outdoor activities, which was further strengthened by organising the sports activities throughout the year.
The two day event took place in a very well disciplined manner and witnessed enthusiastic participation in all events. The 100, 200 400m and 400m relay race followed by shot put and high jump for both boys and girls was organized. Tug of war, Volley Ball and Basket Ball events also witnessed of huge participation. The events were finished off with the most energetic and cheered Cricket match for the boys where all the team members fight against each other. The ultimate moment of pleasure Spardha 2018 shared by winners with loud clapping and shouting of cheers when they got prizes for their outstanding performance.
The inauguration commenced at 10:00 am with National anthem. This was followed by the welcome of panel of guests, Mr Aditya Mahajan (Owner, BDM Group), Mr Arjun Singh (National kabbadi Coach) by Dr Sapna Rakesh ( Director- IMSUC) and Dr Pooja Rastogi (Dean- IMSUC). Spardha 2018 was coordinated by Sports Society headed by Dr Shilpi Sarna and Mr Santosh Shah along with Sports Officer - IMS Group of Institutions, Mr Uday Singta.
