IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus and School of media studies had arranged a guest lecture for BJMC students on 18-08-2017 0n the Topic FILM TECHNIQUES at IMSUC Campus to give exposure to the field of Film Production , Mass Communication, Film & Photography, Sound & Music and also the distribution. We have invited Mr. Dinesh Sahoo (Director of Films and TV Serials) to highlight on these fields and their scope. The lecture started with welcome and introduction of the Guest Mr. Sahoo. He highlighted on the new upcoming fields in Film industry and Mass communication. He briefly introduced the film techniques like Development, Pre-Production, Production, Post-Production Direction and mainly Distribution of the films. As each and everything related to the film is equally important like: Idea , story, screenplay, finance, hiring of cast , film crew , selection of location, preparation of sets ,Directors , Assistant directors , Film Producers etc. He also focused that after any production, how to popularize the film to the target audience. The real life experiences were shared to explain how the techniques are used in Film editing to make the video appear more realistic. How patience is required to survive in this field. As new generation is techno savvy, students were more interested to know about the production of short films for social media. The lecture ended with question and answer section followed by vote of thanks.
