"IMS Ghaziabad, University Courses Campus Launched 'UPAKRAMA' Orientation Program for MIB: Class of 2017"

It was indeed a memorable day where the new fresh faces were warmly welcomed to the IMS Ghaziabad (University Courses Campus). The Auditorium was graced by eminent personalities on the Dias, which included - Shri Rakesh Chharia Ji (General Secretary, IMS Group of institutions), Chief Guest, Mr. Nitin Seth(Chief Operating Officer-flip kart), Guest of Honour, Ashish Jain,( Director - Federation OF Indian Export Organisations (FIEO)) , Guest of Honour, Mr SubhankarGhose, (Chief People Officer, Zoom Insurance) Dr. Sapna Rakesh, Director IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus and Dr. Pooja Rastogi, Dean, IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus.
The day started with students reporting and Registration. All forty students reported and got registered themselves on Day 1 of MIB Orientation Program. Chairperson & faculties of other departments were present to motivate the students. Dr. Sapna Rakesh, who is the Director, gave a brief introduction of the Institute of Management Studies. She gave her best wishes to the students for their bright future and stressed that the student must be regular and must take the post graduation program seriously to get the best output from it. The speakers addressed the students and encouraged them for hard work and to take up the challenges to be the forerunners in the development of the country. They have also discussed various aspects of interaction with the industry. Finally The vote of Thanks was presented by Dean, Dr. Pooja Rastogi.
The program was followed by Hi- tea and an interaction with the industry mentor Mr. ShubhankarGhose. It was indeed a pleasure to get a chance to hear such a personality as Mr. Ghosh, who made it very easy for students to understand the "Industry Requirements" and get ready for the challenges to be faced in future.During this personal interaction, students were asked to introduce ourselves and the reason to join MIB as post-graduation. The best part of the session was that he made efforts to correct every student the moment he found something unprofessional. This helped the students to know their weak points immediately and how they can improve them for the times to come.
In a short span of time various things were taught to which includes maintaining personal hygiene, improving communication skills, build networking, reading more and try to broaden the perspectives. It was a great learning session with him. Finally, the day ended with vote of Thanks by Programme Convener Prof Kapil Mohan Garg.
