Finance Club, Department of Management, organized a Guest Lecture on "Goods and Services Tax" on 24th of April,2017. The Program was formally inaugurated by our Director Dr. Sapna Rakesh, Dean Dr. Pooja Rastogi, and Chairperson Management Dr. Geeti Sharma along with All Faculty members. The objective of conducting the guest lecture was to gain some clarity on GST as it will be implemented from 1st of July, 2017. A number of students from IMS Ghaziabad (University Courses Campus) attended the program.
Mr. Bimal Jain (Hon'ble Guest Speaker), the Chairman of Indirect Tax Committee of Ph.D. Chamber of Commerce, discussed how GST will impact manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, consumers and the economy as a whole and especially its impact on the creation of more employment opportunities with a probable GDP growth in India
