The ceremony started with auspicious lamp lighting ceremony and Saraswati Vandana. Mr. Rakesh Chharia, General Secretary and Patron of IMS Group of Institutions welcomed the Chief Guest Mr. Salman Haidar, Ambassador (Retd), Former Foreign Secretary of India & Patron, IPCS with a bouquet.

Dr. Sapna Rakesh, Director IMSUC delivered the welcome address by emphasizing the importance of coming together with a zeal to help each other. She appreciated the students of various age groups footing the onus of organizing the entire conference in a laudable way. She accentuated this platform as an initiative of the students, by the students and for the students.

The Chief Guest Mr. Salman Haidar congratulated the students for their overwhelming participation and excellent hospitality. His high intellect and experience instigated all the delegates to get the feel of the UN Assembly in action. He discussed UN as a key to maintain peace and tranquillity. He stressed upon the importance of getting the point across and connect the common chords for the creation of a better world.

Various principals of the schools were felicitated with memorabilia. However, this was just a trailor of the movie. The audience was just about to witness a performance of lifetime. The enthralling vocal singing sensation of young senoritas and a senor, left the audience spell bound. They applauded all the performers with a standing ovation. In the end, General Secretary Divansh Gill declared the IMSMUN “Open”.
