 Inaugural Meet of eSEEDS-Batch 2 by CDC

 
 
Subsequent to the successful completion of e-Skill Enhancement and
Employability Development Sessions (eSEEDS,) Batch 1, the Career
Development Centre at IMS Ghaziabad, University Courses Campus organized
the inaugural meet of Batch 2 on 4 July 2020, for the second-year students
pursuing UG courses.
Amid crisis, it has become very important to match with the pace of the industry
and know the employers’ expectations. Keeping this in mind the eSEEDS
program is designed for the registered students who wish to enhance the right
set of knowledge, skills, and attitude (KSAs) before they appear for the final
rounds of job interviews. The module incorporates the new wave of changing
scenarios, reflecting increased competition, challenging job environment, and
assimilating the new normal.
 
Mr. Shekhar Singh, HR Business Partner at Samsung India Pvt. Ltd was invited
to share the ground reality with the students. He shared how companies also
strategize for the talent acquisition and retention. He also discussed how HR
managers struggle to find the right candidates, having suitable skills and
knowledge for the offered job position. Through examples, he emphasized on
being tech savvy and assimilating the changes to have a win-win situation. Mr.
Mandeep Singh, Dean, CRC discussed the importance of choosing
specializations carefully. He focused on the common skills that the recruiters
look for including technical and behavioral competencies.
 
CDC team extended a note of gratitude to Dr. Sapna Rakesh, Director for her
constant guidance and support. Ms. Priyanka Sadhna, Chairperson CDC
congratulated Ms. Anuradha Bhardwaj, Ms. Raunak Bhardwaj and Ms. Sapna
Kumar for initiating Batch 2 and helping out the students to ace the recruitment
process. Students appreciated this virtual learning program and also expressed
their passion for evolving as leaders in their future careers.
