INDUSTRIAL VISIT AT MOTHER DAIRY, NEW DELHI

IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus under the aegis of NIYOJAN (Corporate Connect Cell) shelters an industrial exposure for the students with best professionals & leaders from various fields.

As an industrial visit provides an interface between educational and organizational fronts, it is considered as one of the most tactical methods of teaching. Visiting a company gives students a practical perspective on the world of work. It gives them exposure to current work practices in support of theoretical knowledge being taught at institution.

  With this opinion of entailing the understanding of students, IMS Ghaziabad under the patronage of our respected director Dr. B. P. Pethiya, organized an industrial visit to ‘Mother Dairy, Patparganj – New Delhi’ plant on 17^th of September, 2014 for BBA Second year students. Ms. Pooja Dixit, Faculty of Marketing and Mr. Mohd. Imran, Faculty of Finance accompanied the students. The visit was incepted by a brief presentation by Mr. Ashok Verma, HR Head, Mother Dairy Patparganj. He discussed in detail every aspect of processing of all dairy products. The presentation was followed by a brief question-answer round headed by Mr. I. M. Jose, CSR Head.

 During the visit, the students were made well versed with the functioning of the plant. At Mother Dairy, processing of milk is controlled by process automation whereby state-of-the-art microprocessor technology is adopted. It integrates and completely automates all functions of the milk processing areas to ensure high product quality/ reliability and safety.

  This starts with Clarification of milk followed by Homogenization, Pasteurization, Fortification (with Vitamin A) & dispatch. The students also came to know about the vision, mission & significant competitive advantage which the company derives from the unique distribution network of bulk vending milk booths, retail outlets and mobile units.

  The students had over all a good experience with an in-depth learning. IMS Ghaziabad expresses its sincere thanks and regards to Mother Dairy for giving students hands on knowledge of the complete process.
