PRARAMBH 2019 - BBA Orientation Program Batch 2019-22

(Pre-Lunch Session)

As we keep moving forward, opening new doors and doing new things because we're curious & curiosity keeps leading us down to new paths, similarly PRARAMBH 2019 (BBA orientation program) was not just another day but it was a new opportunity, another chance and a new beginning which the new entrants of IMS family embraced it. The objective of the orientation was to make students aware about the new environment of learning, to provide a rich array of opportunities for to learn, to grow, to discover who they are, and how to make a difference in the world.

The programme was inaugurated by all the dignitaries by seeking the blessings of mother Saraswati followed by the welcome address by Dr. Sapna Rakesh - Director IMS, Ghaziabad University Courses Campus. Ma'am captivated the young minds and disseminated the message that PRARAMBH 2019 is not just an event but the attitude that cause success. Only few peoples around the world get this opportunity to pursue the undergraduate courses and students who have got this privilege should garb as much as opportunity they can. She also highlighted the initiatives taken by the college for the overall and holistic development of students. She focused on the relevance of exploring our own potential & extending our horizons so that we can also contribute towards the society. She concluded her thoughts by mentioning that "Don't think you have a right over education and this course. Justify the investment on yourself."

In this context, Mr. Ramesh Agarwal quoted his impeccable journey experiences by sharing life example from his defence career as an Airman with Indian Air Force to being a successful entrepreneur. He inspired the students by sharing three success mantras entailing:
Think differently
Giving permanent solution to each problem
Investing your efforts to serve your country

Dr. (CA) Rakesh Chharia (Treasurer, IMS Group of Institution) also emphasized that the success in any aspect of life is enacted by working from the bottom of the heart and having the confidence and courage to achieve the goals.

The new entrants gained valuable insights from the BBA alumnus of IMS i.e. Mr. Surajit Mitra (2003 Batch). According to him investing in relationships & people is an asset of life and will in turn help in nurturing businesses & career ahead. He emphasised that students in the three years of under graduation program, need to understand & enjoy the processes of college. Sir, also quoted the importance of staying motivated and remaining patient to strive for success in life.

The programme ended with the vote of thanks by Chairperson BBA - Dr. Geeti Sharma, wherein she extended her heartful gratitude to all the dignitaries for gracing the occasion, faculty members for working 24*7 for the event, all buddy mentors of BBA 2nd & Final year, the CRC, Admin, Admission & the EWL team for making the event a grand success.

(Post-Lunch Session)
In continuation with pre-lunch session, Dr. Shilpi Sarna (BBA 1st year Coordinator) introduced herself and the intellectual community i.e. the Faulty Members of the Management Department to the students; wherein each Faculty Member gave their introduction and a brief profile about their qualification and domain pursued by them.

The program further progressed wherein the heads from Career Development Centre, E-cell and Corporate Resource Centre along with their team members highlighted the functioning of their departments enabling students to get exposed to different sectors and function specific inputs in sync with their career plans and development. Prof. Raunak Bhardwaj and Prof. Anuradha Bhardwaj - Career Development Centre, highlighted the objectives of their department i.e. enabling students to self-discover their traits and abilities, enhancing employability and providing career guidance for long term success.

The E-cell team nurtured by Dr. Nidhi Srivastava and Dr. Indrani Bhattacharjee enabled students to understand that they need to change their ideas into a start-up venture by assisting in seed capital financing and guidance for project appraisal. The E-cell is an initiative of IMS Group to convert those ideas & dreams into reality.

Mr. Mandeep Singh Rawat, Dean - Corporate Resource Centre, gave an insight with the importance of his CRC department. He also highlighted that cell will be a facilitator to students for all placement linked activities and support the students for summer training as well as final placement.

The session ends with the pursuit of holistic development of future performers and creating well rounded value-based individuals.
