Sensitization Program for BBA Batch 2018-21

Pre-Lunch Session
IMS Ghaziabad (University Courses Campus) organized a Sensitization Program for BBA (2018-21) Batch on July 20, 2019. The objective of this program was to guide the students to enhance their employability skills in different domains. The program was initiated with an inaugural session followed by National Anthem and with the enchantment of Saraswati Vandana. The experts were felicitated with a sapling as a token of welcome. Dr. Sapna Rakesh, Director, IMS UC Campus, addressed the gathering with the importance of the session and how it can add value to their future career. The experts from different domains enlightened the students with their area expertise.

Mr. Navneet Kumar, Manager Brand Activation, Dabur Ltd.
motivated the students to take up career in marketing through explaning the wide horizons possible in the field of sales and marketing including sales, digital marketing, research, advertising, trade marketing and many more. He urged the students to be dreamers and aim towards the best in their lives.

Mr. Rajiv Chopra, Founder & Managing Partner, VR Investments
discussed about the criticality of finance and banking in an economy as it is the bloodline for any nation. He emphasized upon the importance of financial management in any business and how it can be a challenging yet learning based career.

Mr. Anant Saxena , Data Scientist, United Health Group
gave insight into the changing business needs and the challenges professionals face to handle big data. He emphasized about the omnipresence of Data Sciences in Management and how it can be acquired through learning some statistical tools and software.

Ms. Shipra Lavania, Chief Human Resources Officer, News Corp VC Circle
discussed the importance of human resource management for any organization in acquiring and retaining the best people. She focused on the strategic role of people management in the success of any company as they are responsible for building the entire workforce.

Mr. Sujit Panigrahi, Founder, Sequoia Fitness and Sports Technology
, stimulated the students towards entrepreneurship for adding to the nation's development. His address focused on having a vision, developing strong teams, having an idea impacting nation in a creative manner.

Mr. Puneet Srivastava, General Manager Treasury, CSE
helped the students understand the importance of perspectives in life through analyzing business administration in a multi-dimensional manner. He explained that careers evolve with time and with opportunities and students should grow with each company they join.

The panelist handled various queries raised by the students in area specific and guided them to choose the specialization as per their skills and interest. The Guests were felicitated with memento followed by vote of thanks by Dr. Geeti Sharma, HOD & Chairperson, BBA The session ended on a very positive and stimulated note with guidance for the students for their future ahead.

Post-Lunch Session
In continuation with pre-lunch session, the specialization heads from different domains highlighted the importance of their domain courses that would enable the students to get exposed to different sectors and function specific inputs in sync with their career plans.
Dr. Pradeep Bhardwaj, Specialization Head, Banking and Finance discussed about the course content, pedagogy and future aspects of this specialization.
Dr. Shilpi Sarna, Specialization Head, Human Resource Management discussed about the need of HRM in every organization and job profile and the courses that would be taught to the students.
Prof. Kapil Mohan Garg, Specialization Head, Data Sciences in Management discussed the relevance of data in various disciplines of management and what kind of careers can be taken up by students.
Dr. Indrani Bhattacharjee, Specialization Head, Family Owned Business and Entrepreneurship discussed about the need of entrepreneurs in today's era and how to enhance the outlook of young talent in the global context.
Dr. Kumar Saurav, Specialization Head, Retail and Marketing discussed about the relevance of marketing in coming era along with the various courses being offered.

The session ended with the pursuit of holistic development of future performers and creating well rounded value based individuals.
