Media Visit To Sansad Television – School of Journalism and Mass Communication

EVENT SUMMARY

The field of journalism and mass communication is frequently evolving and students need exposure to the field in order  to inculcate practical knowledge.

To introduce students to practical learning based approach and make them ready for the competitive professional environment, the School of Journalism and Mass Communication took the studentsof BAJMC Batch 2021-24to a media visit to Sansad Television on October 05, 2022, Tuesday.

Sansad Television held a special program regarding Mental Illnesses and the growth of such issues in women especially. Studded with a panel of experienced personalities in the field of Psychology and NGOs working for spreading mental health awareness, the program was a new and informative experience for all the students.

Anchor Deeksha Kohli welcomed the students and the panelists to the event. Thereafter a detailed discussion was held on mental illnesses and their occurrence in women from different walks of life. Issues that generated most mental health problems in women were discussed.

The students asked questions to the panelists and cleared their doubts from the professionals of the field.

Learning Experience:The media visit was enthralling and learning experience for the students. They learned about behind the scenes tasks, qualities for becoming an anchor, and the skill to formulate and ask questions. Moreover, they were sensitized toward mental health issues.
