Report of Seminar on Media Scenario: Challenges and Possibilities

Event Summary:

IMS School of Journalism and Mass Communication organise a Seminar on Media Scenario and provided a grand opportunity to the students and faculty members.

The seminar graced with the presence of the prominent dignitaries with a highly remarkable reputation. Professor (Dr) Sanjay Dwivedi, Director-General IIMC Delhi and Mr. Arun Sharma, President, Media Federation of India.

The seminar  started with the  opening address of the Director of IMS Ghaziabad, Dr Ajay Kumar, the  HOD of the SJMC Dr Anil Kumar Nigam briefed about the topic of the seminar and welcoming the guests.

The Seminar started with the thoughts of  Mr Arun Sharma on the topic. Sir has told all the students about the scenario of media, and the future prospects of media  he also shared his vast experience with the students also said that practical knowledge will be the key for the students  to becoming good journalists.

After the address of Mr. Sharma, Professor (Dr) Sanjay Dwivedi presented his views on the topic and he shared his experience with the audience with his great oratory skills he influenced the students and shared the practical things and futuristic things with the students . Informing the students about the various possibilities in media, he was affirmative in his address that media people command respect and pride in society. His lively speech had many aspects, in which he even mentioned that media is not only restricted to journalism but there are endless possibilities in other sectors as well. Applauding notable films and film directors, he encouraged students to explore all areas of mass media. His address ended on a fruitful note, expressing his appreciation of Indian culture and how regional language journalism is taking the forefront. 

The students queries were very well tended to in the question and answer session. The event ultimately came to its logical conclusion by a warm vote of thanks from Prof Sandhya Sharma. 

Learning Experience: The event was very well organized and gave a thorough knowledge about the Media world to the audience and turned out to be a great learning experience for all. The students got motivated and the event was a grand success.
