EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS FOR NEW AGE MANAGERS

 

 

The session commenced at 10am on 6th of April in the auditorium. Dr. Pooja Rastogi, HoD of the MIB program welcomed the guest and other dignitaries. The program started with Sarasvati Vandana and showering of flower petals before maa Sarasvati by Prof (Dr.) Ajay Kumar, Director IMSUC, Mr. Rakesh Seth, Guest Speaker, HoD’s and faculty members.  Dr. Pooja Rastogi, briefly described what the session is all about and discussed why it is important for the students to know about the new age employability skills. Prof. (Dr) Ajay Kumar handed over a sapling and momento to the expert of the day Mr. Rakesh Seth as a token of gratitude. Prof. (Dr) Ajay Kumar also addressed the students present and congratulated the students for their presence. He shared how the world is an uncertain place and students need to remain prepared for the all the different kind of job opportunities that will be available in future. He talked about the digital challenges that many people faced during the COVID-19 pandemic and how one need to remain prepared for such challenges in future also. He also talked about, how the opportunities have increased and how the countries like India are developing themselves with many innovative ideas and new technologies.

As far as the student’s future course of action after BBA he asked the students to remain cautious while selecting the institutions for the Post graduation programs. He ended his deliberation by asking students to listen to their brain rather than heart, and work hard to accomplish their goals. The host thanked the director Prof. (Dr) Ajay Kumar for his words and then introduced Mr. Rakesh and deliberated his achievements. Mr. Rakesh started his session by thanking everyone. He said that - Ambition is what makes people successful. The ambition to be successful and do something extra ordinary makes an individual different from others. He shared his own experience and analysis of how Indians are preferred over other nationals in most of the top companies around the world. He asked students to be action oriented and be ready for struggle as without one can not appreciate the sweetness of success. To be successful he asked the students to be clear and remain focused of what they want to do in life. As setbacks are part of life, he suggested students to be resilient and learn from setbacks. He emphasized on preparing ourselves according to the requirements in the market to remain employable. Talking about employability he also emphasized on both education and skills, as skills along with the education is the gateway to the next level. He also pointed out that people who are disciplined, regular and punctual are bound to become successful one day. In the final segment of his discussion he talked about the importance of visualization. He stated that "The more powerful your vision is, the more dreams that you'll get and the more quickly you'll get to make your dream a reality".
