?Do one thing at a time and while doing it put your whole soul into it to the exclusion of all else?. ? Swami Vivekananda

On 12th January 2022, Wednesday, the School of Journalism and Mass Communication organized an virtual event ?Turncoat Debate' on the occasion of birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. In 1985, the Government of India declared Swami Vivekananda birthday as National Youth Day in honor of the great philosopher and monk. Since 1985, this day is celebrated as National Youth Day all over India.

School of Journalism and Mass Communication celebrated the event where students of different programs participated. The main aim of this event was to discuss about the needs of society and make the youth realize about their participation in such kind of activities.

The event started with the encouraging words of Prof. Anil Kumar Nigam (Chairperson ? School of Journalism and Mass Communication). The participants were given the topics on the spot and were allowed to speak both in favor and in against for 1.5 minutes each followed by a question from audience. This kept the whole event interactive and enthusiastic. Every participant used Swami Vivekanand's teachings to prove their opinions on the given topics. There were moments of competitive explanations and spell bound questions. The event was a great success and showed the ultimate talents of participants in being future leaders.

Learning Outcome- The eventwas well organized and turned out to be a great learning session for audience too. It also brought a sense of awareness towards the needs of society and participations of youth in it.
