Summary of the Event:
Milan is an event which provide a platform for the first year students to showcase their extracurricular activities and to encourage their creative impulses to boost their confidence. The event has several modules such as cultural program, comedy session, singing session, ramp walk and games so that every student can participate and showcase their hidden talent. It is the day where seniors and juniors finally bond and unite to celebrate being part of the college.
BCA department of IMS University Courses Campus, Ghaziabad organized FRESHERS (MILAN 2021) on 26th October 2021 to welcome their first year students of Batch 2021-24.
The program started with showering of petals to Goddess Maa Saraswati and inaugural speech by honorable chairperson of BCA, Dr. Gagan Varshney. The welcome dance (Ganesh Vandana) was performed by Komal and Shruti.
Freshers along with their seniors got chance to showcase their talent by a stunning Ramp walk, singing performance, raps and various dance performances like solo, duo, group dances. Later small games were organized to make the function more tricky and fun! Talking about the ramp walk, it was conducted in two rounds. In the Round 1- the participants walked on the ramp and gave poses towards the audiences. The audiences enjoyed the fashion show and they encouraged the participants by making hooding sounds. Later in the Round 2- the shortlisted participants walked again on the ramp and asked questions by the jury members based on which the title holders were finalized. There was a tough competition among the freshers as they all were amazing.
The fresher?s day was filled with excitement, joy, music, enthusiasm, laughter and happiness. The winners of Mr. and Ms. BCA were Mr. Siddharth Kaushik and Ms. Simran Gulati, respectively. The other awards given were

All awards were given by the jury to the respective students, with the trophies and crown including sachets for Mr. and Ms. BCA. Finally, the vote of thanks was given by Prof. Meghna Gupta. She thanked Director Dr. Ajay Kumar for providing support for conducting this event. She also thanked HOD Dr. Gagan Varshney and all faculty members for extending their support. At the end, she thanked all the 2nd year and 3rd year student coordinators for successfully organizing the event.
