Summary of the Event:

 

 

?Education is simply the soul of a society as it passes from one generation to another

 

The School of Management Studies of IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus has organized PRARAMBH ? BBA Orientation Programme ' for BBA students? for batch (2021-24) on 11th ? 12th October 2021. The two days program was adorned by the presence of eminent guests from the corporates.The intellectuals addressed more than four hundred diversified students hailed from various states of India. The objective of this orientationprogramme is to provide students a chance to make important connections with the collegiate environment, academic studies, peers, and network with the campus community. 

The programme was inaugurated by offering floral petals to Goddess Saraswatiand the National Anthem which was followed by the address of Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar (Director, IMSUC) who motivate the students with the quote ? Don?t let your negative thought be your downfall ? and  ?Battijojalata , ujalawohipatahai?.

On the first day, Chief Guest was Dr. VirendraPratap Singh(Top Human Capital Leader), He talked about a study conducted by IMD, Switzerland which helped the students to understand the concept of Agile leadership and how Agility is critical in today's ever-changing world. Then he introduced the concept of 'HAVE'. H stands for humility which means to be humble and be a good listener, A stands for Adaptability that is changing your thinking is important to adapt to the fast-moving world, V stands for Visionary that is what is your end goal and E Stands for Engagement. Furthermore, he explained the qualities that an Agile Individual possesses- Hyper-awareness, Making Informed decisions, Execution Speed. To sum up he elegantly quoted "Ye baataurhaikiaandhihumare bas m nahi, Magarchiragjalanatohhumareakhtiyarmeihai".

Thereafter our Guest of HonourMr. SudhirZutshi (Director-Policy&Strategy) enunciated to the students with great energy and enthusiasm. He explained the importance of respecting

 

the fundamentals of life and the advantages of being humble, polite, and submissive even if you have achieved heights. Then he speaks about the importance of planning in life and how setting long and short-term goals lead to success. Furthermore, he shared that there are many ways of gaining education and even more ways of utilizing our education and to travel and never stop learning new things in our lives.

ThenMr. Vikas VB. Lal, Director ?Karma Medical Internationalwas invited on the dice to share his words of wisdom. He started with the concept of 'VidyaArjan' which means the ability to learn and how your home is the first school. Next, he shared his own experience of meetingwith  Mr. JRD Tata. He told that no matter what work you do, Do it with all your heart and soul quoting ?Don't Leave a job unless you have perfected it?. Next, he shared the words of Ravi Modi, the concept of 5 C's that isConviction, Confidence, Courage, compassion, common sense. Then he explained the importance of analyzing the work that you do with a quote-"Always read what you write".

To end, He mentioned a beautiful quote by Ratan Tata

-"Believe before you pray

  Think before you speak

   Earn before you spend

   Try before you quit"

The hosts then called the next intellectual from the row of the guest of honourMs.MadhuriSahasrabudhe, Chairperson ? Foundation for Holistic Development in Academic Field. Miss MadhuriSahashadadubhe, shared her experience of the corporate world. She tells about her journey from Delhi to London traveling 2,300 miles away she told us about the family values that still impact our lives and With the example of two stories. She teaches us about multiple perspectives in our corporate life and one should know where we stand academically and improve on it.

At the last she concludes with a statement which one has to implement in theirlife :

? That we should take a holistic approach in our work ??

 

 

In the end, the vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Geeti Sharma (Chairperson,School of Management to all the Resource persons for accepting the invitation and for sharing their valuable insights with students and also pay gratitude to the Managementfor their constant support to organize such events in the campus.

On the Second day, Chief Guest was Mr. IndrajitGhosh, Chairman of MSME Chamber of Commerce and Industry of India.Mr. Ghosh began his speech by introducing himself and the NGO ? MSME Chamber of Commerce. He shared an in-depth knowledge about his years of working at the NGO ? experience, workings of the place, several risks that come while working in such an NGO, etc. He told the students about how taking risks helps in improving creativity and innovation. He ended his speech by motivating the students to join the MSME Chamber of Commerce.

The Guests of Honourfor day -2 were Mr. VinayakLal, DS Group,He commenced his speech by thanking the director sir, and all the faculty members for being allowed to be the Guest of honor. He makesthe audience energetic by conducting a humorous yet informative interaction about the important aspects of life that we forget to consider in this situation of the pandemic. He stated the importance of changes in the attitude of a person in different situations and knowing oneself is an important factor to know one?s competitor better. He concluded his speech by wishing the best to the students for their upcoming challenges in their future endeavors.

Thirdly, Ms. VivekBagaria, Director Sales Operation ? Astorianz Industries Pvt Ltd., Mr. Bagaria extended his warm wishes to the Director Sir; faculty members, and students present. He shared his thoughts about how a student or any person should never stop themselves from learning as one can learn from any human being irrespective of age, gender, caste, etc., or any animal or insect. He completed his speech by inspiring students to never give up on their dreams and goals and that if they must mold themselves into a different person, they should do it to achieve them.

Fourth,Dr. AparajitaPrassad, Director-PWC, Dr. Prasad began her speech by expressing gratitude for allowing her to share her thoughts and experience with students. She shared her college experience with the students and focus on the importance of communicating with their peers that how they helped her in various areas of personal and professional life. She concluded her speech with an interactive session where students asked questions and she

 

answered them thoroughly. She also listed 3 things that one should include in their daily life -
 

  1. Getting up early ? helps to plan, strategize and schedule the several things that one must do in the day.
  2. Exercising daily ? helps to maintain physical fit and mental sanity which ultimately results in better decision making and focus on the goals.
  3. Writing goals on paper ? helps one to realize their dreams and push themselves to do better each day.

 

The program was concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Geeti Sharma, HOD School of Management Studies,  she thanked all the eminent speakers for providing insight to the students about business and industries which will help future entrepreneurs and budding managers. The two-day programme was very enlightening for the new entrants.
