REPORT on Opening Ceremony-HR Reboot Week: Mapping Your Way

Summary of the Event:

IMS Ghaziabad University Campus, Management Department believes in experiential learning to enhance the student?s skills, knowledge, and competency, resulting in better performance and the development of the best human capital in the country. The HR Team of the Management Department is organising HR REBOOT WEEK-MAPPING YOUR WAY from May 31, 2021- June 4, 2021. The objective of this one-week mentoring program is to provide Students a platform to perform and gain experience of conducting a training program.It is a kind of mentoring programme where students of BBA HR specialization Batch 2019-22 have designed various training modules on different topics from HR domain for BBA First Year Students Batch 2020-23.

The inaugural session was scheduled on May 31, 2021 and started with the welcome note by Dr. Sapna Rakesh, Director IMSUC. The guest speaker of the session was Ms. Shivani Pandey, Human Resources Manager at Rocketium, Bangalore also an esteemed Alumni of BBA 2012-15 Batch).

As the first person in the human resources function, she leads all people from talent acquisition, to learning, engagement, talent branding, etc. she alsomentioned about her association with Passion Connect, a firm backed by a leading VC - Blume Ventures (Mumbai), which provides funding and consultation support to early-age startups. She worked with them as a Talent Branding Specialist for the portfolio companies. She also highlighted the importance of being participated in extra curriculum activities. She discussed about her beautiful memories from the campus and her journey from campus to corporate was inspiring for the students.

The session has further address by Dr. Geeti Sharma, HOD Management Department, with her compliments and congratulations for the HR Team and HR specialization students' initiative. After this every team was given an opportunity to explain their module. The program has also witnessed the presence of more than 250 students of BBA first year and Second Year along with HR faculties Prof Yagbala Kapil, Prof Vanchan Tripathi, Prof Nidhi Srivastava, Prof Akansha Tyagi and Dr.  Anchal Luthra. The session was ended by presenting an e- memento to esteemed guest and formal vote of thanks by Dr Shilpi Sarna, Head of HR specialization of IMSUC.

It was indeed an interactive and a great learning session.
