Summary of the Event:

IMS Ghaziabad University Campus, Management Department-BBA organized an expert talk session for Management students on “Mental and Social Well-Being among Today’s Youth” on May 21, 2021. The speaker of the session was Vedashvapati Alok Awasthi, Founding Director Maharishi Kapi Vedic Nyas who has vast knowledge in Jyotisha, Vedic Vastu Shastra, Mantra Shastra, Upanishads, Vedic Philosophies [Darshana], Yajya Healing Therapy, Pranayama, Meditation, Naturopathy, Brahma Yogaetc.The session began with a welcome note by Dr. Geeti Sharma, Chairperson-Management department where she highlighted on the importance of topic in present scenario when social isolation has become a key trigger for mental illness, while supportive relationships with friends, family, and neighbours are beneficial to the mental health and overall well-being of an individual. Vedashvapati guided the modern minds on how to deal with anxiety, depression, anger, negativity and failures in life.He shared the Mantra’s of Happiness and to maintain a balance between physical body, life forces, emotions   and intellect. He emphasized on finding hope in every situation and not to give up by focusing on :

  • Knowing yourself and your strength & weakness
  • Be spiritual( Increase your knowledge)
  • Accept the truth
  • Sharing your emotions and seeking advice from the right person
  • Make future plan by using past experiences and new data 

 

The session ended with the open question and answer round, where many students askedquestions related to life’s dilemma, and by presenting an e-memento as a token of gratitude to the esteemed guest.

 

Learning Outcome: It was an extremely educative and learning session which benefitted both the students and the faculty members on building resilience and coping in a healthy way to live a happy life.
