Workshop on ‘Resume Writing and Interview Skill’

IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus in collaboration with STUGMA organized a workshop on ‘Resume Writing and Interview Skill’ on 16th October, 2020 for the students pursuing post-graduation and graduation courses in Ghaziabad. Mr Vinay Gupta, Executive Director, Ghaziabad Management Association gave the welcome address and shared his insights about resume writing, as an important document for presenting oneself professionally. The Master of ceremony-Ashutosh, introduced the esteemed guest for the session- Ms. Priyanka Sadhna, Chairperson, Career Development Centre & Ms. Raunak Bhardwaj, Assistant Professor, CDC. Ms. Raunak Bhardwaj, explained CV format, difference between functional &chronological resume and relevance of applicant tracking system. The discussion was carried forward by Ms. Priyanka Sadhna, wherein she explained the person job fit theory and person organization fit theory. She mentioned that with right set of competencies, candidates can sail through the interview successfully. With the help of some real life examples both the resource persons shared the do's and don’ts to keep in mind during an interview. The highlight of the program was a short video which, focused on the role of real learning rather than being fake.

Dr. Geeti Sharma, Chairperson BBA, encouraged all the faculty members to have such insightful and learning sessions for the students.

At the end of the session students appreciated the learning and also shared how these learning can enable them to be high performing employees in the long run. Dr. Sahil Gupta & Prof. Ashish Srivastava, Faculty coordinator of STUGMA proposed a vote of thanks to all the dignified speakers and organizers while expressing their gratitude to GMA and the students, who were actively involved throughout the session.
