MIB ORIENTATION PROGRAMME – DAY-3
 
Session - 1
Topic - “Industry Speaker Session”
IMSUC, Ghaziabad organized a very important session on the practical aspects of industry working so as to guide the students about the realities of the practical world. Mr. Gaurav Pundir, AVP, Business Head (B&M FMCG HEAD) SPAR INDIA (MAX HYPERMARKET INDIA PVT LTD) graced the session on Sales and Marketing in the retail business and provided many practical insights to the student. Mr. Pundir is a seasoned FMCG expert having experience in Channel Sales, Retail management, dealer management, operations and logistics that helped the students to gain deeper understanding of the business. The session was very interactive and informative as students participated with great zeal by asking number of questions. Mr. Pundir was very active and happy in answering to all the questions with lot of insight related to consumer behaviour, retail experience, relationship management and merchandising also. students gained immensely through his knowledge from his varied companies like Godrej, Marico, Aditya Birla, etc.

 Session - 2
Topic - “Profiling and Writing Proficiency”
The third day of online MIB Orientation Program 2020- ‘Upakrama’ at IMS Ghaziabad-University Courses Campus, focused on knowing the personality profiling and soft skills of all the students. The session was based on important profiling tools such as personality types, career interests, SWOT analysis, workplace communication styles, core values, and key motivators. All the participants developed a great deal of interest while discovering their traits, interests, skills, and professional writing skills. Ms. Priyanka Sadhna, Chairperson CDC assisted the students to develop a broader understanding of personal attributes, in order to reduce conflicts and improve decision-making skills.  The profiling also helped the students to know about their own set of strengths, goals, and areas of improvement. Many students appreciated this session, as this psychometric analysis acted an eye-opener session, which in turn triggered the students to start working on the areas requiring immediate attention. 
The major takeaways from the session are as follows:
•        Identification of personality types and suitable career avenues

Session - 3
Topic – “Start up and New Venture Creation”
The session was conducted during the Orientation programme of MIB new batch (2020-2022) on August 19,2020. The session aimed to develop entrepreneurial mindset and sensitize the students to recognize the opportunities arisen due to the covid-19 pandemic disruption.
The main highlights of the session are as follows:
